Wee bit sad that another classic USA AM station closes, especially one that PAMS fans will know had a huge amount of
PAMS packages in their Top 40 days – TWO CDs-worth of “Fourteen KQV” on the KenR catalog alone.

I still have the 5″ reel that KQV, one of the then just 6 ABC owned & operated AM stations, sent me in 1971 of their VERY
non-PAMS sounding custom of that year, a package with PAMS vocalists but very almost Atlantic-soul backing tracks,
and the “corresponding instrumental” of every cut, many based upon “contemporary” hits of the day but done very
closely in sound/instruments/production to the original compositions rather than the “Tom Merriman treatment” that
TM jingles orchestration did of in style back then.

Scarey to think that jiffy bag thudded on to the mat more than forty-six years ago…

EDIT:- struggling to get a pic mode that allows direct insert embed to JM rather than just a link!
All recent ones I’ve tried e.g. tiny pix refuse to work as an embed

                  something doesnt smell right here.
you have a 3 call letter fulltimer in a large market and you simply pull the plug?
neah. the stuff ive read does not add up.
without exception; that thing could easily be sold. easily to a god-broadcaster at the least.
nope. theres another game going on which will be exposed in time.

                  and yes, it is sad.
