“Main thing: let’s not lose a regular dose of jingles”
Without attempting to encroach on ACD’s efforts in any way, in the meantime I’ll attempt an (occasional) item or two to fill the gap
as a Jingle Of The … Whatever…First JOTW submission…

June 13, 2017 at 1:51 pm #101667MarkSMemberWhat a good idea, Iain. Thanks for posting this cut – love the surreal sound of Heller jingles
June 13, 2017 at 7:25 pm #101668jonnoMemberwell, that was, um, different
June 13, 2017 at 7:50 pm #101669IainJohnston“…different…”
That’s the idea – I won’t be trying to post what ACD does much better than I can! ;^)June 14, 2017 at 5:51 am #101671ratnobMemberAways love hearing Heller cuts. Thank you. G
June 14, 2017 at 8:55 am #101672IainJohnstonWithout going too deeply into Heller stuff here, although I have a few on my original ancient station reels, anyone
interested in exploring the Heller Ferguson LA world of weird lyrics should have a listen to the excellent KenR
“Best of Heller” CD.My own dub is only WMA, so if anyone has the actual CD or a “proper” WAV version I’d welcome a dub swap or
two to upgrade my audio quality :^)(… of course, someone could start a Heller thread under “Jingles Yesterday” …)
June 21, 2017 at 4:02 pm #101693IainJohnstonIts “only” 18-deg-C here in Sub-Tropical Scotland on MidSummer’s Day, but if its really 34 “down South”
then its definately the right time for Len Groat’s definitive classic summer cut… :^)https://soundcloud.com/allthebestjingles03/ij-jotw-0002-trentlemonade-21jun2017
June 22, 2017 at 3:26 pm #101694LenGroatThanks for the seasonal namecheck Iain!
I was delighted with the cuts from that year – and the ‘Lemonade’ cut was completely original , not based on another jingle – Alan Fawkes taught me to think about words and word rhythm, and move away from just basing stuff on existing cuts.
The 3 versions of it all worked so well thanks to Alan’s superbly written track. I particularly love Mike Collier’s ‘Walkin’ version – I remember him and Jackie Dickson sampling a local delicacy – English fish&chips out of newspaper in the Alfasound kitchen
I love our JAM summer cuts but just for a change some WBT: a great Chris Kershaw written track with Kaye sounding superb!! I love this but did not order it, our legendary Andy ‘Marrow’ Marriott, put it together and ordered it – thanks to iJingles and TM
