Wow, what a totally new concept, who would have thought of such an incredibly NEW (???) innovative idea?

Sorry BBC, nothing new at all – re-invention of the wheel by trendy young things who think no-one has ever done anything
before them – and take a bow JMer Scotron for beating that part of the Beeb to it – how long have we here had “Pingles”???

(Plus of course VH1 and all the other examples over many years from JAM et al).

Well I looked at that example and turned off 31 seconds in!

It isn’t original. It is just an old idea revamped for 2016.

As Ian says already done on VH1! I remember WRBQ Tampa Bay’s Q105 doing something similar back in 1988 when Cleveland Wheeler and the Q Morning Zoo breakfast show was locally televised on a local TV channel every day.

Going back to 1967 when DLT was co presenting German TV music show Beat Club for a short while they did something similar with PAMS jingles used on Caroline and other offshore radio stations!
