Alfasound vocals over possibly a JAM track. Not able to hear very clearly as listening in a noisy environment at the moment.

Agree with Jonno – It’s a JAM track with Alfasound UK Singers

The jingle rings a bell, but I can’t put my finger on other stations that have had it re-sun. Michael – I ought to know as it is probably in amongst those files you sent me last week ;-)

I keep thinking Mercury Extra or Fame 1521 or Fortune

Agreed – It’s a JAM track with Alfasound UK Singers.

The JAM track in question is “Hi-Qume” Cut #13, originally created for Q95 Detroit.

I think I have that cut on an aircheck cassette somewhere of MFM (i.e. “Marcher FM”) in the Wirral.

Edit:- Hodgey’s post has just jumped in ahead of me posting!

Could someone clarify which JAM package the second cut there comes from please?

                    Thanks Jeffrey
So many UK stations got loads of “Q” jingles in composites, either Dallas or Alfasound vocals.

I was thinking the same when I saw this thread – Alongside the Z100 series the Q jingle packages were well used by UK stations.

“the Q jingle packages were well used by UK stations”

Any time driving “Down South” in that era I could hear them more or less on “alternate” TSAs, i.e. no “official”
                        overlap, but still “pickup-able” chessboard-wise.

Certainly from Aberdeen to Cornwall :^)

                        “JAM in the air, everywhere…”
