As part of my boycott of BBC Radio (For obvious reasons!)
Yesterday whilst doing my deliveries around Ash/Pirbright I tuned into Eagle Radio for the first time in over a year and noticed they have NEW Jingles!!
Anybody know anything about them…..The Jingles that is!

This may provide explanation. Even Eagle veteran Mike Powell seems to like them! http://earshotcreative.com/2015/12/podcast-local-jingles-for-eagle-radio/

          Eagle Radio 2015

In the winter of 2015, the UKRD station based in Guildford selected a re-sing of Wise Buddah’s BRMB 2010 package, taking 12 re-versioned Main IDs for the station (with generic and breakfast versions) along with new News, Sport, Travel and Weather elements.

As per my GEM thread another example of a great package for Orion by WB

They are on the site if you want a listen

The new Mix 96 resings are also pretty classy on the station.

Its just a shame the packages are sooooooooo small 7 cuts burn so fast

Thanks Robin/Michael for the info so quickly!
They certainly sound better than the previous stuff that seemed to be there for years!

Always good to see stations getting new jingles. The podcast is really interesting.

For me, the vocals on the jingles are problematic – I had to re-listen to be sure that they were singing ‘the Peter Gordon Breakfast Show’. It’s where, for me, US and UK jingles have especially different – we do’t have the same tradition of tight, clear vocals.

But, as I say, good to note new jingles being purchased.
