There are no DJs or sweepers on Jeffro Radio. So, I rely on the jingles for personality. I think it’s funnier to hear these wacky phrases sung than spoken! “Today’s Best Music” or “The Greatest Hits” is kinda…blah.

Ahh love these jingles and their outrageous lyrics! If only a station in Britain was brave enough to air jingles sung with these words lol! Ofcom wouldn’t like them tee hee! Probably only the late lamented Atlantic 252 would have dared to air jingles over here like this? They made me smile Jeff, imagine if these were on air at K-Hits heh? The TM resings done for the various Jack-FM stations (especially Dallas) has some cheese factor to them. I love cheese jingles.. They are much more creative than the usual “hot hits” liners.

Don’t know how I missed this montage back in June. I’ve just listened with a mixture of awe, admiration and sheer envy. It’s a magnificent collection by someone who really gets how to choose the right cuts to go with the name, how to write creative, ear-catching lyrics, and how to jingles on air. This is brilliant.
