In the light of recent news, BRMB is returning as a rebrand of Big City Radio, owned by Murfin Music International.

I don’t know what jingles they will use but this better be exciting!

BRMB name returns to Birmingham after 10 years away

Would be nice to think Muff would commission a custom from (presumably) TM,
but would he just re-licence an existing selection from the MMI days rather
than have some (expensive) new ones made or new vocals over the old tracks?

PS – long, long ago, I bought a dub of some of the EMIson original BRMB custom
package and their first hour, direct from the station. At 7.5 IPS reel-to-reel.

I think BRMB will play a 2-sided coin between TM and ReelWorld. But most likely they’ll pick TM for this one.
If they did, they’d either get some fresh jingles from their 12-Packs or TM Next or probably re-cut the older packs from their MMI days (thanks Iain for the tip).

Well, I doubt if they’ll be going for a “refresh” of THIS package! (The original launch one)1

Here is a recording of the transition to BRMB uploaded by Professor1036.

It turns out they brung back the mid-80’s BRMB jingles by TM/MMI!

Very clever that they still use those MMI jingles for their revival!
