Yesterday marked the second anniversary of Tony’s death. While a session of syndicated resings is in the works, I thought it would only be a fitting tribute to post a quick sample of his work.

hit that right on the head! is this the most recent works? now I haven’t been paying attention to KDES too much, haven’t been out that way. I know KACL still uses TGP, did a recording of those guys just a few days ago, and that transition cut was the first to show up!

Very interesting to note as I listen to the TGP montage is that the first jingle profiled was from Faith and Friends Radio, an Internet radio station from my hometown of Dayton, Ohio. I looked at their website (https://www.faithandfriendsradio.com/), and found that this station plays religious music. It does stream online, although I don’t think those outside the U.S.A can access it… With that format, I’d never expect a TGP jingle (from the Winning Formula package) to fit with the station playlist, but that’s just my opinion. I’m not sure that jingle is still used on that station today though…

Tyrone: in that montage, it sounds like the most recent works before Tony’s passing, as I have not heard these resings until now.

Tracy: thanks for compiling this short montage of his work. While he may be gone, his jingle legacy lives on!

Yes most of these cuts are fairly new. TGP still does great work in the famous “TGP” style using Paul West as engineer and Bruce Wermuth as vocal leader/arranger.
