Personal cuts time.
I distribute 60 or so CD mixes to friends and colleagues each summer and at Christmas. I see it as part of my mission to educate them musically.
So I thought I’d kick-start this year’s summer mix with an all-time favourite JAM jingle from ‘I’d Rather be II’. The original was sung with the LA singers and I fell in love with it as young Bobby Dinan. It may be the intoxicating harmonica solo that makes it so special.
Here’s a montage of 5 of the 9 mixes I’ve received from JAM this morning – the full cut, a version without the harmonica, a long ramp, the short version, and an end acappella.
Enjoy.
