Looks like Chris Stevens of this JM Parish has loaded some more packages onto his website.
There’s recent resings of ‘Ignite KIIS’ for Sun FM, WTFM and WLTB. Plus The Bay (Ignite Now) and ‘The Jack Pack’ has been added on the TM section.
Plus there is this really nice clip of one of TM’s ‘Ignite KIIS’ sessions…
May 29, 2014 at 9:10 pm #94586Good Time OldieI could watch videos like that ALL day – are they regular TM singers, don’t appear to know them.
Chris is doing some fine work at ignite, he also seems happy to stay just under the radar too – very nice Mr St, you need to shout about it more
Thanks for the upload
May 29, 2014 at 9:16 pm #94588professor1036They sound really good! Maybe these singers concentrate on TM’s Spanish language projects?
May 29, 2014 at 9:22 pm #94589IainJohnstonAs reported “in another place”, Chris will also now be “able to spend more time on his other projects” after being “let go” by Glo&bal the other day – at least he survived all the way through the “hold separate” era and did his bit in the process to steer the now-ex-GMG stations through that transition.
So we should all be saying “Good Luck!” to Chris, and his long stint at TM and Ignite’s good relationship with TM should now get a further chance to develop

Definitely Iain…Chris is one of the good guys
May 29, 2014 at 11:09 pm #94593professor1036Leading on from TM’s YouTube clip of part of the Mas Radio ‘Ignite KIIS’ session, a montage of the finished production has just been posted…
May 30, 2014 at 8:08 pm #93724michiMemberI have a cut that will be sung at TM (iJingles) next week with a line of what one could consider as hardcore Japanese.. Let’s see how they pull it off (I would love to see a video of that session)..

I’m sure they’ll do a fantastic job!
June 2, 2014 at 8:54 pm #94647professor1036Chris has posted an “Ignite KISS” montage on soundcloud…
Very nice!
June 4, 2014 at 9:04 am #94665tyty21nice montage! saw a few of them I heard over the year, like WRUM in Orlando, and KQCH in Omaha, which I was over there a few months ago. it would’ve been nice to hear that on their other station, KISO (96.1 kiss FM), but you-know-who’s got that spot filled. also, a few other station that could’ve made that list, WAVT in Potsville, PA, WPST in Trenton, NJ, and of course, jinglemad radio. come on chris, just putting that out there! what happened, was expecting that! did you forget? JK!

But I then really enjoyed the SoundCloud demonstrations of the outcome.
These jingles are powerful, memorable and a great way of putting modern production techniques into a traditional jingle format that – as it has done for decades – helps radio listeners remember the brand.

Thanks for sharing!
June 6, 2014 at 7:30 pm #94702professor1036Okay…this thread has featured progression of the Mas Radio ‘Ignite Kiss’ vocal session at TM Studios, through to the finished production. The only missing aspect is to how they sound on-air?
June 6, 2014 at 8:39 pm #94706IainJohnstonTo be absolutelty fair, that aircheck is a wee bit too “tight” for me to tell.
With the “language barrier”, having the spoken stuff so tightly chopped, and the unfamiliar “records” disappearing after hardly more than a couple of notes after the end of the jingles, I can’t really tell if the jingles actually “work” or not.
I thought I heard a “fast, zippy, hip” jingle into the front of a possibly slow or soft record?
I heard similar stuttering-effect jingles butting right into speech – ads? station slogan?
Is it possible to hear the same sequence but with a bit of headroom please Prof?
June 6, 2014 at 8:51 pm #94707professor1036Hi Iain…I usually edit quite tight, just how I like to do things! But I’ll go back and “loosen it up”.
June 6, 2014 at 10:03 pm #94708professor1036Hiya Iain…just had a look back at my audio and I didn’t save the original bits, so I’ve just airchecked a bit of Mas Radio…
September 29, 2014 at 6:23 pm #95878professor1036Here’s an update on the Ignite Jingles website…looks like the GMG custom packages are available (or about to be available) for resing.
Here’s the cut by cut pages…

http://www.ignitejingles.com/audio/86/Rock-Radio/November 19, 2014 at 9:53 am #96255professor1036There’s a new Ignite package for The Bee in Lancashire…
November 19, 2014 at 11:34 am #96256IainJohnstonThe Bee – not so much a “demo” as a “One Minute Montage”!
Package sounds OK – decent “typical current industry fare”.
Bit confusing though in parts to me – station has really a 2-note logo – but some cuts start instrumentally with 3, some rattle away with 4 going on and on beds … but what then do such “notes” convey if they don’t “reinforce” the station name? (… older JMers will dig out ancient PAMS etc demos muttering about “subliminals” and all the rest of the “psychology” of what does into the “musical construction” of an ID jingle – and yes, I know, “it demonstrates what a resing might sound like for 3-note or 4-note logo stations…” – but “the DEMO” itself should be where to “sell” such ideas?)
However, the guys are certainly masters though of the “elegant, dreamy, atmospheric weather bed” – shame so few of these & other “utility beds” get really heard on-air – they usually get mixed “too low down” by the presenter, or whacked off after a few seconds max, or get buried under a “sponsor’s message” screamer…
November 24, 2014 at 8:17 am #96308professor1036Following on from The Bee’s new jingles from Ignite…fellow UKRD station Star Radio in Cambridge has just had the Real package resung.
