I’m sure JM’ers will be interested to see who won the Gold, Silver and Bronze in the Radio Academy awards. The audio of the Gold winning entry is also on.

They are called ‘imaging’ as these are not limited to ‘traditional sung jingles’.

And HOT on the heels of ‘imaging’ awards….. comes “the first imaging event, taking place in Amsterdam in September” . The (out of fashion) word ‘jingle’ IS used: there is to be a session on “the History of Jingles & Imaging”:

“Some say that the first jingle dates back to 1923, others talk about the 60s. Was Tom Merriman the jingle king of the world? Or is it Jonathan Wolfert?” The event organisers ask.”

I’m sure someone will nudge them and add Bill Meeks to that very worthy list..

Is any contributor on here going?
