      Hi all,

After coming across the following jingle packages, thanks to a friend at work and Paul McGrath (really helpful jingle collector) I have the following packages
      Magic 828 1990
      Magic 828 1994 (I think)
      Ridings FM 1999, 2001 & 2008
      The Pulse 1994 & 2000
      Magic 1152 2003
      Magic 1170 1990

Not much, but it’s a start, wondering where to go from here though, I’ve already started downloading stuff from the jingle websites.
Kinda into UK stuff from the 90s to present day, including resings of UK stuff overseas and vise versa.

Anyone got any suggestions on where to go next?

Oh, and hi all by the way !

        Welcome to JingleMad!

A small correction on Magic 1170. The year you have as 1990 is incorrect as the station didn’t become ‘Magic’ until 1998. Previously it was Great North Radio (GNR).

Apologies, bit of a typo there!

            Like Linden,welcome along.

Britain’s most recognised jingle producer of the last 30 years,Steve England, advises new collectors, that to look forward to the future of jingles and radio imaging,it is always worth looking back to see how it evolved over time. My suggestion for you is to look beyond the early 90’s and back into the 60’s,70’s and 80’s with PAMS, JAM & TM,and the British producers (EMISON,Sue Manning,David Arnold,Muff Murfin/Standard Sound and particularly,Alfasound). From there, this will then lead you on to other great producers (Pepper Tanner,Gwinsound,CRC,Johnny Mann and many others).

There’s some brilliant stuff to hear and find out,and don’t be afraid to ask questions here – the extent of jingle knowledge and resource available never ceases to amaze me,and you’ll be surprised who will respond…as visitors here can include Bruce Upchurch,Dave Sharp,Chris Stevens (ex TM) and of course, the great Jonathan Wolfert – the man behind JAM.
