Radio ‘guru’ David Lloyd celebrates this with a Tweet

“This Day: 1952. Jon Wolfert born. Established JAM, one of the World’s most successful jingle stables”

And some of his JAM memories, + audio !

Seconded! Many Happy Returns JMW =D>

        And on David Lloyd’s site…
        Quote…
“I know what you were like. When the songs began, as most 15 year old kids reached for the record button, your finger was on the pause button. Your goal was simply to capture the great harmonies of the jingles in-between. You have cassettes even now of bits of whole jingles, sandwiched between bits of songs, ends of links and the last words of old ads. Right?”

        Oh help! 100% accurate – We’ve been rumbled Ladies & Gents! :)

Happy birthday Jon, and here’s to many more years of jingle greatness!

And Iain – yes, that quote sums things up for me to a T, except it’s on digital “tape” now!

Jon, Berko and I have you beat by a year..as you get older you notice the more things change in the end they don’t really change all that much.. As Jim Hillard was won’t to say ain’t nothing new in 15 years..

I’m a few day’s late for “the party”, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JON….and many more. :>)

And for crying out loud, won’t somebody out there please give Jon what he’s always wanted…..an alarm clock that plays only Pepper-Tanner outtakes! (You PAMS fans that have a copy of the Christmas tape from 1972 know what I’m talking about here.)
